Two doors on the same street can be a long way apart on price. Almost always it comes down to these — and a technician can confirm every one of them in a few minutes on site.
A spring job
Always quoted as a matched pair where we can — a new spring next to a worn one runs imbalanced and guarantees a callback.
Wire size, length and inside diameter have to match your door. A standard-cycle spring and a 25,000-cycle spring are different parts at different costs — we tell you which is on there and which we'd fit.
If the second spring is the same age as the one that broke, it is usually near the end of its life too. Doing both on the same visit costs less than paying for a second drive-out in a few months.
An opener install
The unit, the keypad and the remotes are all part of the number, and we haul the old opener away.
Chain, belt or wall-mount. Belt is the quiet one and the right call when there's living space over or beside the garage; chain is the workhorse for a detached garage.
Wi-Fi and phone alerts, camera-ready, battery backup. Every one is a genuine choice, not an upsell — we'll say plainly what each buys you.
Headroom, existing rail length, and whether the wiring and the sensors can be reused all change the labor. A low-headroom garage sometimes needs a different kit.
A new door, installed

Insulation buys warmth and quiet and matters most on an attached garage. Gauge is how thick the steel is. Windows buy daylight and looks. All three move the number.
A taller opening, an out-of-square frame or low headroom needs different hardware. And a new door hung on tired springs or a fifteen-year-old opener is a half-finished job — we'll tell you what still has life in it.
