Terms of Service
These cover using this website and hiring us. Your written estimate and invoice govern the actual job — if anything here conflicts with those, those win.
Effective July 20, 2026.
Who you're dealing with
Elevation Garage Door is a division of Elevation Home Co., the operating brand of Elevation Visuals LLC, a Michigan limited liability company, at 5244 Cottondale St SW, Wyoming, MI 49519. "We" and "us" mean that company. "You" means the person or business requesting or receiving service.
Using this website
The content here — text, photos, and design — belongs to us. Read it, print it, link to it. Don't republish it wholesale or use our photos to represent your own work, and don't attempt to break, mass-scrape, or interfere with the site. The repair guides on this site are general information, not instructions to follow. Garage door springs are under extreme tension and can cause serious injury or death. Nothing on this site is a recommendation that you service a door yourself.
Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are free and non-binding until accepted. You hear the number before any work starts.
- A quote given over the phone is an estimate based on your description. Doors fail in ways that aren't visible until a tech is in front of them. If what we find differs from what was described, we tell you the revised number before we start, and you can decline.
- Diagnostic, trip, and after-hours charges may apply — most often when you decline the work after we've come out. We tell you the amount up front, before it applies. We don't spring fees on people.
Scheduling
We're reachable around the clock and we aim for same-day service when we're not booked out, but same-day is never a guarantee. Arrival times are windows, not appointments — a door that turns out to be worse than described pushes everything behind it, and we'd rather finish that job properly than rush it to protect a window. We'll call or text if we're running late. You can reschedule or cancel at no charge with reasonable notice.
What we need from you
- Clear access to the garage — vehicles and stored items moved away from the door and tracks.
- Pets secured.
- An adult authorized to approve the work and the price on site.
- Anything we should know about the door or opening — prior repairs, a vehicle strike, water damage, or work someone else did.
Workmanship and parts
We stand behind our labor. Parts carry whatever warranty their manufacturer provides, and we'll tell you what that is for the specific part before you buy it — we don't advertise a blanket warranty we'd have to walk back. Warranty coverage assumes normal residential use and doesn't cover abuse, impact damage, weather damage, power surges, or work performed on the door by someone else afterward.
Pre-existing conditions
A garage door is a system under load, and fixing one part sometimes reveals another that was already failing. Old openers, worn cables, bent tracks, rotted jambs, and doors damaged by impact can fail during or shortly after unrelated service. We are not responsible for damage arising from pre-existing conditions or defects, or from conditions you knew about and didn't disclose. We are responsible for damage we actually cause through our own negligence. If you think we damaged something, call us within 7 days so we can come look at it.
Payment
- Payment is due on completion unless your estimate says otherwise.
- We accept the methods listed on your invoice. We do not offer or arrange financing.
- Past-due balances may accrue interest at the maximum rate allowed by Michigan law, and you may be responsible for reasonable collection costs.
Insurance
We carry liability insurance. Ask and we'll send you a certificate.
Photos of completed work
We photograph every job — that's the photo log you get — and we sometimes use those images as before-and-after examples in marketing. They show the door only, never your name, address, or house number. Tell us and we won't use yours. See our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Michigan law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost income, loss of use, vehicle storage, and the like. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct, for personal injury caused by us, or for anything else that can't be limited by law. This does not affect your rights under Michigan consumer protection law.
Resolving problems
Call us first. Almost everything gets fixed with a phone call and a return visit. If something can't be worked out, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Kent County, Michigan.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date at the top changes when we do. The version in effect on the date of your estimate is the one that applies to your job.
